AIASD Highlights:
Programs & Events
AIA San Diego offers over 100 separate programs and events annually. From our monthly Lunchtime Learning event to the chapter's annual Design Awards program, from the social and networking-oriented Barstool gathering to ARE preparartion courses, there is A LOT going on at California's fourth-largest chapter.
Who goes to AIA San Diego events and programs? Members and non-members alike may attend any AIA San Diego program. Depending on the event, you may mingle with a younger crowd -- folks who are just entering the profession or who may still be in school working toward an architecture degree. Other activities appeal to the more established architect -- who is looking to continue lifelong learning via AIA San Diego's strong continuing education program or who wants to make a difference in the regional urban planning of San Diego. You never know who will be at an AIA San Diego event -- so you're best bet is just to show up and find out!
How much does it cost? Some events are free and some have a fee. Members always pay less than non-members (so considering joining today!). Also, AIA San Diego supports our student members by offering greatly discounted event fees for students. Prices vary -- depending on what the event provides. Bi-monthly ArchiChat socials are free, while some full-day seminars may be $150-$200. Read the details on each event to get specific price information.
Is there a list of programs or events? The best way to find upcoming program information is on our website calendar.
How do I get involved in these programs and events? If you want to be more than just an attendee, you can participate on the planning committee, be a sponsor, serve as the presenter, advertise or market at the event, or we can help you find plenty of other ways to get involved that meets your interests.
