Why I’m involved in AIA San Diego…and AIA: I have enjoyed building the professional relationships through my involvement with AIASD- the Board of Directors, Women In Architecture, and Young Architects Committees. I enjoy the camaraderie and fellowship that I am able to be apart of with other Architects and Associates.
What I’ve been involved in AIA (committees, state activity, conferences, etc.):
- AIASD Board of Directors, 2009
- Women In Architecture, founding member 2007
- Young Architects Committee, 2006
- AIA National Practice Conference 2008
- AIA National Convention 2009
What advice I have for others in terms of AIA involvement: Being involved in the AIA is an invaluable way to build great professional relationships with Architects and Associates. Serving in a leadership role (at any level) has the added benefit of helping a person develop their leadership skills.
