Marketing Events

Marketing events and programs to our members:
Committees are encouraged to take advantage of the marketing and communication tools that the chapter has in place to reach our members. Those tools include:

  • The chapter newsletters -- ArchiGram and Architecture San Diego: For information on how to advertise your committee's programs and events in the newsletters, download the 2011 Committee Advertising Publication Schedule.
  • The chapter's e-newsletter -- Upcoming Events: As long as your event is listed on the chapter website calendar, your event will be listed in the e-newsletter Upcoming Events.
  • The chapter's website: Each committee is responsible for uploading content to the chapter website and managing that committee's presence on the website. Training on how to do this is hosted twice per year. Please contact the chapter office to learn when the next website training for committees will be hosted. Click here to login to your committee page (user name and passwords are distributed by committee chairs/commissioners)
  • Event Flyer Marketing Checklist: Use this checklist to ensure everything you need is on your flyer before distribution.
  • Offer Continuing Education LU's: a valuable aspect of attending an event to members is fulfilling AIA CES and HSW Learning Units. If you'd like your program to be registered for Continuing Education credit follow these simple steps:
  1. Read the Program Guidelines to determine if your program is "LU-worthy."
  2. If you believe it is, submit the Registration Form for the Practice Commission and Staff to review.
