It's time for socializing, learning and thinking BIG!
Longtime WIA participant Simi Razavian is opening her home for a WIA potluck. She will be sharing a brief presentation on Lessons we can learn from passive energy designs in Persian vernacular architecture in hot and arid areas. Simi brings a wealth of knowledge to the WIA community and has been recently featured in San Diego Magazine:

We will continue the evening with a much needed roundtable table on
ENVISIONING WOMEN IN ARCHITECTURE IN 2009!
We want as many WIA participants as possible to share and build on the ideas of what WIA should be in the coming years and how we can get there. Please come and share your ideas, or if you can't make it, please email them to our email address: wia.cte@aiasandiego.org
Please bring a delicious dish to share as well as business cards to build your network. If you prefer to skip an edible contribution, we do need volunteers to set up before and to clean up afterwards. There will be plenty of parking available on La Jolla Blvd or Winamar Ave, the side street.
This event is free and is open to all those interested in topics relating to Women in Architecture.
