This workshop will provide attendees with the skills and background necessary to implement sustainable practices into architectural design. It will include a hands on case study analysis of the procedures and rating system for approval of a commercial interior building project, in addition to providing detailed information on coursework, study materials and the exam to become a LEED accredited professional.

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. List the benefits of using "green" practices in architectural design.
  2. Identify the LEED certification rating system for commercial interior design.
  3. Define a "green" design charette and explain its importance in the LEED certification process.
  4. Specify how LEED accreditation can further your career as an architect.
  5. Analyze a current case study for a commercial interior design project through hands on group activities.
