This conference focuses on successful urban development, a core topic for designers of the built environment.  The 1 1/2-day program touches upon the key elements needed to facilitate and finance the adaptation and rejuvenation of urban places and explores evolving data tools & technologies, design & development ideas, sustainable strategies, transportation, housing and education.

  • Understand the latest thinking about city-building in the context of global competitive challenges.
  • Consider how design goals can intersect with the economics of urban development.
  • Explore successful case studies of partnership based models of urban redesign and development.
  • Listen to acknowledged experts connected to the city-building realm in the fields of government, technology, architecture, planning, finance, sustainability, housing, transportation and education.

AIA members who attend are eligible for 3.0 CE LU’s HSW-eligible, reported by the AIA San Diego.
