Healthcare Roundtable

02/08/2011 - 12:00
02/08/2011 - 13:30

All brown-bag roundtable events are hosted at the AIA San Diego office, 233 A Street, Suite 200.  They are open to members only.

To improve healthcare quality through design, this roundtable is intended for healthcare architects to affiliate with one another, learn from one another, and advocate with each other to advance the practice of healthcare architecture.

San Diego has developed a strong base of talented architects specializing in the design of healthcare facilities.  Some interest has been expressed in creating an AIA San Diego dedicated to healthcare, planning, design and construction.    Prior to becoming a full-fledged committee, the chapter leadership wants to ensure that there truly is enough interest ("critical mass") to merit allocating the resources that committees require from the organization.  To see if this group has traction, we'll initially consider the timing for regular meetings where we could explore new technologies, delivery of care, changes in regulatory requirements, project delivery methods and industry trends that will allow us to provide improved services to our clients.  These roundtables are open to AIA San Diego members only, including those who are engineers, contractors, project managers, etc.   If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, please join us for a meeting on February 8th 2011, 12:00-1:30 at AIA San Diego office, 233 A Street, Suite 200. where we can generate a list of presentation topics, speakers and events for the year.  For further information, please contact the AIA San Diego office.

There's a great Italian deli downstairs in our building -- Al Teatro Panini Grill!  Click here for their website:  http://www.alteatropaninigrill.com/
