Learn when and how to use energy modeling for commercial buildings to meet AIA 2030 goals, satisfy the increasingly strict Title 24 energy code, and design for the coming wave of zero energy buildings. Understand how code-based modeling can provide options for energy compliance, and how beyond-code modeling helps to further inform design options, improve energy efficiency and comfort, and manage construction costs.

Founder and President of Brummitt Energy Associates
Beth founded Brummitt Energy Associates in 1998 to focus on high performance buildings. With over 25 years’ experience in energy efficiency and building modeling, she has been speaking on green building, the Title 24 energy codes, and the path to Zero Net Energy for many years. She is a graduate of Stanford University and is former Chair of the California Association of Building Energy Consultants. Beth was the founding chair of the San Diego Green Building Council, currently serves on the Board, and was also the founding co-chair of the San Diego Living Building Challenge Collaborative. She helped SDG&E to develop the first Zero Net Energy Case Study for commercial buildings and continues to assist many other clients to reach their higher-performance and Zero Net Energy goals.
Beth is a regular presenter on relevant topics such as: Zero Net Energy–From Ideas to Reality, Green Improvements and Valuation, and Biomimicry, Living Buildings, and Successful Thinking.
