Contemplating a 6.9 Rose Canyon Fault Earthquake: How will the built environment perform?

In cooperation with the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), the Offices of Emergency Services/County of San Diego, AIA|San Diego is pleased to offer an important continuing education workshop for design professionals focused on the seismic risks posed by the active (you read that right!) Rose Canyon Fault.
Join us for a uniquely well-informed examination of the potential consequences of such an event, what can be done now to mitigate risks and the potential scale of an effective post-event response. A tour of the base isolation critical infrastructure building will be offered.

Complimentary parking in the structure on the east side of the campus – follow instructions to the 2nd floor or higher, as indicated. Do not park in restricted spaces. Do not park on the surface lots for > 2 hrs.
Access: The Office of Emergency Services is just west of the County Medical Examiners Building, on the west side of the campus. There is a locked gate requiring visitors to be “buzzed-in”. Formal program begins at 11:30 am – please arrive at the building by 11:15 am
