The Beauty, Longevity, and Earth Friendly Benefits of Clay

Due to increased focus on designing structures that lessen the impact on the environment, now more than ever building materials are scrutinized along these guidelines. This course will educate the architect on the “cool roof impact” on the building industry, LEED points, the “green” benefits of using clay tile, and the differences between clay and other roofing materials.   2. Compare the differences between clay and other roofing materials.
  3. Examine the unique aesthetics of clay and demonstrate its practical roof application today.
  4. Explore the LEED benefits when using this earth-friendly material.
  5. Illustrate the “cool roof impact” on the building industry and explain its features.

Presenters: Jim Robinson, Courtney Fischbeck & Scott Fury, US Tile

Jim has been in the roofing industry almost 19 years working for a total of 5 distinct manufacturers while Courtney and Scott are both managers for US Tile. Scott oversees the Southern California region and Courtney handles Nevada and Utah. Courtney also serves as our Architectural Coordinator. All three have been active doing presentations for architects, builders, HOA’s, contractors and trade organizations.
