AIA San Diego and the California Center for Sustainable Energy present

AIA 2030 Commitment: Measuring Industry Progress Towards 2030

The role and responsibility of architects to respond and react to the growing climate change impacts is huge.  We, as both architects and as a team of designers and constructors, has it in our collective  power to positively impact our projects by reducing energy consumption, and with our firm’s operations by reducing our overall carbon footprint.  Truly walking the talk!

During this interactive presentation you will better understand the AIA’s 2030 Commitment program, for both our projects and our firms.  How we measure, report back, and learn from others in moving toward the goals of energy reduction and carbon neutral design by 2030.  Plus you will understand how one firm has been working on both their projects and operations to meet or exceed the goals established by the AIA and other key organizations.

No small task, but it can and must be done by architects and our design & construction teams, while improving the overall quality of life!
