San Diego, CA… March 3, 2010 –The American Institute of Architects (AIA) announced last week the recipients of the Young Architect Award, the highest recognition of works that exemplify excellence in exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the profession early in their careers, regardless of their age. Nine recipients will be recognized at the AIA 2010 National Convention and Design Exhibition in Miami on June 10-12th.

The Young Architects Award now in its 17th year, was developed to recognize and encourage excellence in the architectural design across the country. Out of the nine National recipients, AIA San Diego is proud to announce our own Kevin deFreitas, AIA as the first San Diegan to receive this award. Click here to read the full press release.
