Award Categories

The Honor Award--AIA San Diego's highest award--celebrates extraordinary, thoroughly resolved architectural design, worthy of the profession's highest regard.

The Merit Award recognizes exemplary, innovative and well-resolved design, worhty of professional recognition.

The Citation Award recognizes distinctive aspects or elements of a design, which demonstrates noteworthy architectural skill or vision.

The Divine Detail Award is given to specific, ingenious and graceful design details that are worthy of recognition all by themselves.

The SDG&E Energy Efficiency Integration Award--In association with SDG&E's "Savings by Design" Program, award-winning projects that have been given outstanding design consideration to energy performance will be recognized with the "Energy Efficiency Integration Award". This award is open to commercial and institutional built projects only, which are locate within the SDG&E service territory.
